Be inspired by Pantone’s Colour of the Year: Peach Fuzz
When it comes to home décor colour trends, Pantone is a global authority. Not only to interior decorators follow the company’s trend reports but so do auto design teams, restaurant developers, fashion designers and even perfumers. The annual shade trend reports have a ripple effect in dozens of industries.
For 2024, Pantone has announced ‘Peach Fuzz” as colour of the year. It has more to do with psychology than you might imagine. “The colour we selected to be our colour of the our Pantone Colour of the Year 2024 needed to express our desire to want to be close to those we love and the joy we get when allowing ourselves to tune into who we are and just savor a moment of quiet time alone,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute. “In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a colour radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.”
Peach Fuzz 13-1023 is a soft, pinkish-orange hue that is described as ‘velvety’, ‘gentle’, and ‘subtly sweet.’ Makeup enthusiasts may notice this colour is very similar to NARS’ bestselling blush hue called ‘orgasm’, a pinkish-orange powder that flatters almost every single skin tone. This particular colour is renowned in makeup labs for its ability to instantly add radiance and a healthy flush to skin.
There is also a connection between Peach Fuzz and the world of perfumery. Peach is a popular ingredient in women’s eau de parfums today. Perfumers love to use it as it offers a sweet, juicy and velvety facet to the top notes of a scent. It’s a star ingredient in Jimmy Choo’s I Want Choo fragrance. You’ll also find it in Bvlgari’s Allegra Fantasia Veneta, Lanvin Marry Me & Bois 1920 Classic Paradise. One of the most fascinating facts about peach is that China is the largest producer of the fruit in the world followed by Italy.
Here are three peach-themed fragrances for you to try:
Bois 1920 Classic Paradise, featuring peach notes
Bois 1920 Classic Paradise is a floral-fruity gourmand scent for her or him created by perfumer Chris Maurice. He begins with a cocktail of wonderful Italian citrus: Seville orange, bergamot and lemon then gently adds cassis, galbanum and rose. Peach adds a velvety character to the lavender, nutmeg and coconut. The base boasts vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood, musk and amber. This is a fragrance with character.
Bvlgari Allegra Fantasia Veneta
Bvlgari Allegra Fantasia Veneta is an elegant chypre-fruity fragrance for her created by Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier. He blends velvety red peach with Indonesian patchouli leaf and warm vanilla.
Jimmy Choo I Want Choo EDP
Jimmy Choo’s I Want Choo is a sparkling floral-amber fragrance for her that blends notes of velvet peach, mandarine juice, red spider lily, jasmin sambac, vanilla and benzoin (that smells like caramel)

January 17, 2024 at 11:41 amAlways loved the peach colour for its warmth. Not my favorite colour for redecorating, but if I had a house in Rancho Santa Fe California, I’d consider peach terracotta tiled floors and peach painted walls. So happy it’s fruitiness is in various fragrances.
