An iconic men’s fragrance has new ad campaign starring a very high profile musician and both share the same name. Montblanc Legend Eau de Toilette, which debuted in 2011, rocketed to the top of retailers charts upon its launch and remains a global bestseller to this day. The aromatic-fougere scent for him is masculine and fresh with good longevity thanks to a balanced blend of contrasting notes such a bergamot and lavender, sandalwood and geranium.

To introduce this scent to a new generation, John Legend has agreed to partner with the brand and star in a campaign featuring both still images and a slick video.

The film and print campaign developed by Fred & Farid New York, directed and photographed by Guy Aroch, celebrates the sacred creative process across time. “This campaign is a celebration of the creative process across time,” says Fred & Farid New York. “We wanted to create a visual and auditory experience that captures the essence of inspiration – those fleeting moments when an artist connects with something greater with themselves.”

Montblanc Legend Eau de Toilette is an aromatic-fougere fragrance for him composed by renowned perfumers Olivier Pescheux Celine Perdriel. They create a rich and complex scent by handpicking ingredients such as lemon verbena, red apple, pineapple and geranium. It’s a scent with character that changes as it dries down on skin and slowly reveals its notes

Key ingredients: lavender, pineapple, bergamot, lemon verbena, red apple, dried fruits, oakmoss, geranium, coumarin, rose, tonka bean, sandalwood

“We tried to make the fragrance filled with contrasts, combining notes that evoke strength and tenderness, tradition and modernity,” says Pescheux. “The composition opens with fresh aromatic tones of bergamot, lavender, pineapple leaf, and exotic verbena. The heart emphasizes oakmoss note merged with geranium, coumarin, apple, rose and Pomarosa molecule (notes of dried fruit). The base contains sandalwood, tonka and evernyl.”

Montblanc Legend Eau de Toilette is available at Shoppers Drug Mart stores, shoppersdrugmart.ca, Sephora stores, sephora.com and select pharmacies across Canada.
