New Atkinsons: James
British niche perfumery brand Atkinsons 1799 is set to launch a charming new woody-amber-spicy scent just in time for the holiday season. It’s called “James” an homage to the brand founder James Atkinson who created a London-based fragrance shop in 1799 that would go on to become the official perfumer of the English Royal Court in the early 1800s. He was known for blending unique scents for him and her that offered a clever twist on the English theme.
James is a rich and noble eau de parfum for him or her that opens with notes of bergamot oil, finger lime, pink peppercorn and clary sage absolute. A white flowers accord perfectly balances elemi oil from the Philipines and a bouquet of violet leaves. But it is the vetiver from Haiti that is the star ingredient in this composition. It’s deep earthy aroma is refined and elegant. It blends nicely with musk and patchouli. It’s a fragrance with true character.
The matte bottle with woven cap is accented with a glossy Atkinsons seal featuring the logo and name. Even the box is refined and elegant. James would be proud.
Atkinsons James Eau de Parfum will arrive this holiday season at Holt Renfrew and holtrenfrew.com
