Perfumer Profile: Quentin Bisch
Quentin Bisch is one of the brightest stars of the perfumery world today. His creations unfold like dramatic plays with unexpected notes, contrasting ingredients and sensual dry downs. Think of it as olfactory theatre of the best kind. So, it isn’t surprising to learn that the 40 year-old Givaudan perfumer from Strasbourg, France was originally a music student and an artistic director for a performing company. He clearly understands that like an award-winning film, a fragrance needs a compelling opening, middle and grand finale.
“It is thrilling to create beauty, sensuality, and excitement out of the invisible,” he says.
At the age of five, his family moved to London as his father had landed a job there. He fondly remembers the scents of the city: cookies baking in cafes, sweet-smelling gardens and the urban aroma of riding the tube. Two years later, the family relocated to France where he attended public school. He credits his mother’s passion for perfume for installing an appreciation for fine fragrance early on. She never left home without her bottle of Shalimar. He quickly developed a photographic memory of fragrance.
By chance, Bisch signed up for a one-month internship in Grasse, France, and that was all it took to find his true vocation. He quickly decided to devote the next several years to studying fragrance composition.
The arts continue to inspire Quentin. He creates perfumes in the same way he might direct a theatrical performance – through the use of strong ideas, careful embellishments and surprising effects.
Along with crafting the elegant Moncler Pour Femme, Bisch has developed fragrances for Jean Paul Gaultier, Missoni, Boucheron,Trussardi, Carolina Herrera and Rabanne. To date, he’s worked on over 130 scents.
Moncler Pour Femme
Moncler Pour Femme is a sophisticated woody floral eau de parfum for her that pairs a lively Italian green mandarin note with a green alpine accord. It’s a fresh and uplifting first impression. The feminine heart of rare jasmine absolute with fruity undertones soon emerges balanced by the sandalwood and musk. It’s beautifully blended.

What more could a person ask for? To be part of 130 fragrances is very impressive. Montcler Pour Femme sounds like a fragrance that would lift any girls spirits.
