Superstar choreographer Maddie Ziegler’s dance of joy for Kate Spade

American actress and choreographer Maddie Ziegler has choreographed the year’s most joyful and optimistic dance routine that celebrates the energy and passion of New York fashion brand Kate Spade. It captures a moment of spontaneous celebration through an upbeat dance that could almost be part of a flash mob.

Maddie depicts a free-spirited woman, dancing with friends in a fun, cheerful choreography that instills the inclusiveness, unconventionality and confidence that Kate Spade embraces.

“I’ve been dancing since the age of two,” she says. “I don’t really remember it, because I was little, but my mom signed me up and would put me in cute costumes. A lot of girls get into dancing, but I loved it so much that I kept doing it.”

She says she started with ballet, and once she started to really like it, she got into more – she did jazz and tap, and then kept going.

Passion about dance from an early age, Maddie has been performing on American television screens since the age of eight, before ultimately gaining worldwide recognition for her performances in Sia’s “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart” music videos.

“All I do is watch dance videos. I love Ricky Ubeda, who is a contemporary dancer, and I also love Madison Cubbage. They inspire me to work harder every day.”

In recent years, Ziegler has segued to the big screen, starring in multiple films, including Steven Spielberg’s upcoming movie adaption of musical “West Side Story”. “I just want to continue to pursue dancing. I want to focus on making it out there and showing everybody my heart and soul through dance…and do it until I can’t walk anymore.”

“I dance. I don’t really do anything else,” she laughs.
