Italian niche perfumer Bois 1920 has created a fascinating fragrance discovery kit that allows you to experience a range of Florentine-style scents for her and him. If you’ve never heard of Bois 1920, this is a family-run company established by Guido Galardi who started experimenting with perfumery in 1920 in a tiny workshop. He began by collecting the ‘spigo’ or lavender flowers which bloom throughout the Florentine hills. He started mixing different essential oils with local ingredients – all expressing life, culture and art with an Italian perspective. The brand achieved worldwide recognition in 2012 when it was selected among the best five olfactory expressions at the FiFi Awards (the Oscars of the perfumery world) in New York City.
